Our four founders, Kristi, Josh, Diana, and Charli, have been working together and supporting each other on projects from six years to 13 years. The relationships we have built together are founded on trust and respect. Together, we have founded Nexus Environmental Consultants, to provide our clients with a streamlined approach to their environmental needs.
In addition to field surveys, Kristi started managing multiple types of projects and working on National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements serving a wide range of clients including the mining and renewable sectors. Kristi has a broad working knowledge of the NEPA and baseline studies necessary to support the NEPA analysis and has managed multiple NEPA projects throughout Nevada with cooperating local, State, and Federal agencies. She enjoys working with these teams to meet a common goal of preparing timely and defensible NEPA documents.
During his time as a consultant, he has gained a tremendous amount of expertise in wildlife and botany specializing in baseline biological surveys, NEPA document preparation assistance, and biological mitigation and compliance. He is particularly well experienced with the State of Nevada’s Greater Sage-Grouse Conservation Credit System, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service golden eagle take permitting, and mule deer migration monitoring and mitigation.
Josh is very involved in the wildlife and natural resources community where he is a past President and current board member of Nevada Bighorns Unlimited – Reno, past President and current board member the Nevada Agricultural Foundation, and a member of the State of Nevada Wildlife Commission’s Mule Deer Oversight Committee.
During his spare time Josh likes to enjoy the outdoors camping, fly-fishing, and hunting. He and his family live in Reno, Nevada, where he is also a member of the Fraternal Order of Elks, Reno Lodge Number 597.
Diana developed her love for the outdoors growing up in rural Pennsylvania. From an early age she had a passion for the natural environment around her. Her passion led her to Fort Collins, Colorado where she graduated from Colorado State University with a major in Wildlife Biology, minor in Fisheries Biology, and concentration of Geographic Information Systems. After graduating, she worked for agencies and non-government organizations throughout several western states, including Wyoming, California, and Idaho, before finally settling in Nevada.
In her spare time, Diana enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and doing anything outdoors. She loves learning new things and enjoying each moment as they come. She has been a member of Toastmasters International, Geological Society of Nevada, and Nevada Mining Association.
While consulting, Charli has gained extensive knowledge of what regulatory agencies require, and has worked on matters including environmental assessments, environmental impact statements, biological baselines, hydrological baselines, visual resource baselines, lands with wilderness characteristic inventories, and stormwater pollution prevention plans, just to name a few. Charli strives to provide the same level of detail and sound guidance regardless of the size and complexity of the issues facing her clients.
In her spare time, you can find Charli somewhere in remote Nevada hiking or upland game bird hunting with her family. She loves the freedom and solitude that Nevada offers and it’s how she recharges her batteries and continues to be a driver for her clients.
